Puffco Background Info
Puffco got their foot in the door with their infamous Peak electric dab rig. The Peak back in early 2018 on launch was one of the best rigs on the market. It became a multi award winning, million dollar product. It was an absolute hit that skyrocketed Puffco to the next level. However, as time went on, companies evolved and made greater rigs, and then rigs even greater than that. This led the Puffco Peak into becoming a somewhat obsolete device compared to other options on the market. This leads us to as of late, the Puffco Peak Pro device launch. Recently released, the device was an instant hit. They took a lot of the flaws from the Peak and fixed them, and improved in a lot of areas on the Pro.

Performance: Will I be content with the Peak Pros vapor quality?
Vapor Quality
The quality of Vapor and taste on this device are spectacular. With the ability to set the temperature to anything you want using their mobile app, you can easily test and try out different heat and vapor flavors ranging from all temps. If you’re the type of person that prefers clouds over flavor or vice versa, you’re covered. You really can find the perfect setting for yourself with this device and it’s app which I’ll cover more later on in this review.
Airflow
With Puffco having many years in the game with a ton of experience under their belt, they managed to perfect the airflow on the Peak Pro. Compared to the previous version of this electronic dab rig, it’s greatly improved. The percolator in the glass bubbler is designed to be an easier draw, allowing for a very smooth hit. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and I’ll say I’m in love with the airflow the Peak Pro offers.
back to menu ↑Battery: How strong is the Puffco Peak Pro’s battery?
The Puffco Peak Pro battery has roughly the same battery life as the original Peak which is 1400 mAh. This is quite embarrassing considering that the device is $400. There are plenty of electric dab rigs on the market offering double if not more battery life, while being half the price. Specifically, the Smokeski has a 3000 mAh battery, and only costs $200, literally half the price. Anyways, on a single battery life with the Peak Pro you can expect to do around 30 sessions on a full charge which is great, but could obviously be better.

The Peak Pro brings an entirely new meaning to the words portable and dabbing. They redesigned the case from the previous version to be much more compact, and durable. The Peak Pro’s case is around 12” x 4” x 3” and the device itself is around 7.5” x 3” which is pretty comparable to a lot of other electric dab rigs.

Smartphone App
If you somehow find yourself with a dead Switch and still want to start a dab you can use the device while it is charging. This is one of the few rigs that features pass through charging.
Wireless Charging
Most current electric dab rigs use either convection or conduction heating. The Switch has uses patent-pending induction heating technology. This is a lot more efficient and is what allows the Switch to get up to 150 uses per charge. This also is why the Switch has a fast heat up time and can be heated in as little as 5 seconds.
Customizable LED
The lighting on the Puffco Peak Pro is beautiful. With their mobile app you can adjust the lighting modes from pulse, wave, disco, and stealth. Each mode has a different look with the LED lights which is great for a party, dab session, or anything really. Along with this, you can adjust the color range of the device to any color on the RGB scale. I personally love this about the Peak Pro, one of the main reasons I could justify spending $400 on this device.
Sealed Ceramic Chamber
The Peak Pro no longer has a carb cap, instead they use a chamber with a cap. This makes the entire process of loading your rig, firing it up, and taking a hit a lot easier. We all know after a couple of uses, it can get hard to deal with a traditional carb cap. The Peak Pro completely eliminates this problem, with a great solution.

Warranty
Puffco offers a 1 year limited warranty on all new products. This does not include atomizers, which have been known to break or go out frequently. The warranty is decent, they most likely will have you covered if something goes wrong.
Value
The value you get out of the Peak Pro is fair, you get a high quality device for a premium price. Once you have your hands on one of these, you wont want to go back to any other rig. All of it’s features, craftmanship, and specs make it most likely one of the final electric dab rigs you will purchase. If you want to save a little bit of money, you could always go with an alternative that offers most of the Peak Pros specs, at a much lower price. All in all, if you can manage to fork up the cash for one of these, you won’t be disappointed.
